Liverpool golden girl Katarina Johnson-Thompson claimed her first global title after winning the pentathlon at the World Indoor Championships. 

Katarina Johnson Thompson has previously revealed how her approach to the Olympic heptathlon is inspired by LFC’s Champions League heroics in Istanbul. 

Katarina: As a Liverpool fan I’m an eternal optimist because of what we did in Istanbul in 2005.” She was referring to the Reds’ Champions League triumph over AC Milan in which they came back from 3-0 down at half time to win on penalties.
