Roy Keane has insisted anyone who predicted Liverpool to be nine points clear at the top of the Premier League at the beginning of the season would not have been taken seriously
The Reds' incredible start to the campaign continued on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over defending champions Manchester City at Anfield.
Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in front of The Kop 12 minutes after a wonderful delivery from Mohamed Salah on the right-hand side
Liverpool were not able to continue their dominance before the interval but put the game beyond doubt with 12 minutes remaining
The result opened the nine-point gap back up to Arsenal while the distance between themselves and City
Arne Slot could not have dreamed of a better start to his tenure at Anfield and Keane was full of praise for the new head coach who replaced Jurgen Klopp in the summer.

"The decision-making in terms of possession was excellent." Next up for Liverpool is a trip to Newcastle United on Wednesday night in the Premier League.
