Roy Keane has made the bold prediction that Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold could score a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest
The Reds’ academy graduate was one of the standout performers for England over the international break
Trent played the two games in his more natural right-back position after being used in midfield by former manager Gareth Southgate
Liverpool will look to extend that when they take on Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday afternoon
It’s a game where Keane believes that Alexander-Arnold playing in a more advanced role could pay off.
Carragher and Keane gave a prediction for the meeting. Carragher went and had an eye on midweek matters, he said: “2-0, probably rest a couple for Milan.”
Keane predicted a 3-1 win for Liverpool with fellow England international Morgan Gibbs-White scoring a consolation for Forest. But he then gave an even bolder prediction.
Keane
Trent, Trent. He could get a hat-trick if he’s higher up the pitch,”
Alexander-Arnold has come up against Forest three times in his career, but never found the net against the side.
He has been on the winning side twice, and provided an assist in the 3-2 win back in April 2023.
