Mohamed Salah will be presented with the opportunity to become the fresh figurehead of the Saudi Pro League this summer.
the 33-year-old could TREBLE his £400,000-a-week Liverpool salary if he agrees to a proposal that would end his nine-year spell at Anfield.
The Saudis are keen for the Egyptian superstar to take over from Cristiano Ronaldo, who is threatening to abandon his lucrative £3.35million-a-week Al-Nassr deal after staging a protest over the SPL's approach to transfer dealings.
Ronaldo was angered to witness former Real Madrid colleague Karim Benzema granted permission to switch from Al-Ittihad to Al-Nassr championship rivals Al-Hilal last week and was absent from Monday's match against Al-Riyadh.
The 41-year-old Portuguese icon has been cautioned by Pro League officials that no player will be permitted to sway decisions made by an independent transfer committee designed to prevent clubs from spending themselves into financial difficulty.
There have been reports that the former Manchester United and Juventus striker will now seek to return to Europe to pursue his ambition of reaching the 1,000-goal milestone he desires.
The Saudis attempted to attract Salah last summer, and he has remained at the summit of their target list, despite pledging his future to Liverpool following last season's title triumph.
However, his recent disagreement with Liverpool manager Arne Slot, which saw the Anfield legend benched after publicly criticising his handling by the Dutch coach, has sparked speculation that he might seek a fresh challenge at the end of the season.
The prospect of saving on Salah's hefty wages could prove tempting for Liverpool's management, who would also be eyeing a substantial transfer fee should the Saudis solidify their interest in the coming months.
They would prefer to have any deal wrapped up before Salah heads off to the World Cup with Egypt.
Salah, who celebrates his 34th birthday in June, has featured in Liverpool's last four matches since returning to the club following the disappointment of Egypt's African Cup of Nations semi-final loss to Senegal.
He is anticipated to start in Sunday's crucial league match against Manchester City, although he has struggled to recapture the form that has cemented his status as an Anfield icon.
Salah has netted just six goals across all competitions and has scored in only four Premier League matches as the reigning champions have faltered in their title defence.
Since joining from Roma in a £43million deal in the summer of 2017, the forward has racked up 251 goals for Liverpool and has clinched two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
