Liverpool could be set for a second transfer battle after it was claimed that Manchester City want to sign Milos Kerkez.

The Reds are interested in signing the Bournemouth left-back this summer.

The 21-year-old has been one of the breakout stars of the Premier League season, and such performances have seen him linked with a whole host of top clubs.

However, Liverpoolwere often claimed to be favourites in the race for the full-back’s signature

But now, according to a report from, City have made enquiries and are now viewed as genuine rivals to the Reds for his signature, with Pep Guardiola’s side in the market for a new left-back.

In an interview with The Athletic last month, Kerkez was open and honest about his future, saying:

“These are the things that my agent is on. My dad is on. It is not something that they occupy me with because the season is still going, so there’s no point to talk about anything.

“There’s games left, the FA Cup is important for us — these are big things.

“And then, like I say, when someone comes (in for you) you never know what’s going to happen or where you’re going to end up. In the summer, we will see what happens.”
