Liverpool handed European headache by Man City and Man United as Premier League fixtures confirmed

While Liverpool now know their Premier League fixtures for the 2023/24 season, they will have to wait a little while longer yet until they discover their Europa League commitments


The Reds are one of only 12 sides already confirmed to be in this season’s group-stages,



With the draw not taking place until September 1 following the conclusion of qualification rounds. Liverpool are guaranteed to be seeded in pot one


It is worth noting that a number of their domestic fixtures will not take place on Saturday, as initially scheduled


Matchday one will take place on Thursday 21 September. Liverpool will travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday 16 September


Their subsequent Premier League clash with West Ham United at Anfield, currently scheduled for Saturday 23 September, will be pushed back to Sunday 24 or Monday 25 September as a result.



The Reds will travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 30 September before Europa League matchday two takes place on Thursday 5 October.


They are then scheduled to be in action away at Brighton & Hove Albion when returning to Premier League action, with that game pushed back to Sunday 8 or Monday 9 October as a result.


Europa League matchday three will take place on Thursday 26 October. Liverpool’s preceding Premier League fixture will see them host Everton


They will follow up their European exploits with a home clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday 29 or Monday 30 October.



Matchday four is scheduled for Thursday 9 November, with the Reds heading into that fixture off the back of a trip to newly-promoted Luton Town


They will then follow it up with the visit of Brentford to Anfield on Sunday 12 or Monday 13 November.


Liverpool then return to Europa League action for matchday five on Thursday 30 November. A trip to Premier League champions Man City on Saturday 25 November precedes



a home clash with Fulham following it on Sunday 3 or Monday 4 December.


The Europa League group-stages then conclude on Thursday 14 December with matchday six. The Reds are due to travel to Crystal Palace


hosting Manchester United on Sunday 17 or Monday 18 December.
