Liverpool discovers Conor Bradley injury recovery timeline and it's not good news

mrwedwards

Liverpool is reportedly set to be without Conor Bradley until the new year due to the hamstring injury he sustained against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Bradley was replaced during the second half of the Champions League encounter, with Joe Gomez taking his place in the closing stages of the 2-0 win.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that Bradley is facing a six-week spell on the sidelines, which would rule him out of the entirety of the frantic December fixture schedule.

Liverpool plays nine matches in December, starting with Sunday's showdown with Manchester City at Anfield, and the Reds then go to Newcastle and Everton over the following week.

A third away game in succession, against Girona in the Champions League, is next up, before the Reds welcome Fulham to Anfield in the league.

Liverpool then faces Southampton at St. Mary's in the EFL Cup before a Premier League trip to Tottenham. Boxing Day sees Leicester travel to Anfield, before Arne Slot's men round out the year with a trip to West Ham on December 29.

The news is a fresh blow to Liverpool after it emerged that Ibrahima Konate is also set to be out until the new year with the knee injury he sustained in stoppage time against Madrid.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez are likely to step in for Bradley and Konate in the weeks ahead, but Slot will surely have concerns about whether they can play in every game given the intensity of the schedule, combined with the fact Alexander-Arnold is just coming back from a hamstring injury of his own and Gomez has barely played this season.

Liverpool's defense has taken several blows in the last couple of weeks, with Kostas Tsimikas also currently sidelined with a foot injury that is expected to keep him out for a number of upcoming games.
