Liverpool were missing two of their superstars in the meeting of the Premier League title challengers in this FA Cup tie - but they impressively overcame the absence of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
They were grateful for Arsenal's poor finishing in the first half, but Jurgen Klopp's side were always in the game and, even without Salah, they possess menace in their forward line and that was increasingly in evidence as the game went on.
Ibrahima Konate in particular stood out - proving he can produce commanding performances even without Van Dijk alongside him - while young defender Jarell Quansah continues to impress in the absence of Joel Matip.
Darwin Nunez was again inefficient with his efforts at goal, but Diogo Jota was again lively as he continues his return from injury.
Overall, finding a way to win without Van Dijk and Salah will send a surge of self-belief through Liverpool and their supporters that Klopp's new-look side can go on to achieve special things this season.
Jurgen Klopp
"I'm super proud. It's a super difficult draw, maybe the most difficult we could've got. With all the things we had to consider coming here, Arsenal lined up slightly different, that was smart.
"We changed a bit at half-time and we were really in the game in the second half. We scored the goals and brought the kids on. We fought for 95 minutes. We have a winter break now."
On the half-time changes: "It was obvious there would be changes. Today, the boys bought into it and we could make them, not too many. In the end, we came through. I'm really happy and proud we could win this game. Arsenal could've won it, without a doubt. We finished it off and it spoke for the character of the boys."
On Trent Alexander-Arnold: "It's an own goal right? Like the free-kick against Fulham. What a game he played by the way. In all of the positions he played, you see his class on the ball.
"We could have scored a second slightly earlier, with one or two counter-attacks where we could've seen the pass earlier. We desperately wanted to avoid a draw."
On Ibrahima Konate: "The new partner did really well, as well. Joe Gomez, come on. It was really tough. So many good things happened today. It's really important that you get these kind of different results."
On the team's progress: "For tonight, great. Wednesday is the next game and then a few days off. We have to make steps, if we want to be where we are and around that area, then we have to make steps all of the time. It wasn't an easy game to enjoy in the first half."
On Virgil van Dijk: "I think that game tonight helped him too."
