Linda Pizzuti, the wife of Liverpool's principal owner John W Henry, has paid tribute to the supporters who filed onto the city streets on Monday to mark the club's Premier League title parade.

It's been estimated that around 1.5m were across the city on the day as the four-hour bus journey started in the south end of Liverpool, in Allerton,

before making its way north and finishing near The Strand, on the waterfront, where some of the most spectacular scenes were captured.

The video uploaded by Ms Pizzuti on to her Instagram account was taken from The Strand and captured the likes of Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon, players Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and a number of others,

including head coach Arne Slot, alongside chart-topping DJ Calvin Harris, who made his second appearance on an open-top Liverpool bus, having turned out in 2022.

In the post, which was uploaded on Sunday morning, Ms Pizutti wrote: "Just 35 seconds of a four hour, citywide celebration that gives a taste of how fun and how massive it was.

"Over 1.25 million people gathered to share in the joy, the love, the passion and the community that Liverpool FC inspires.

“It was magical to share this with so many of you, and awe-inspiring to see so many people sharing in this celebration.”

"Huge thanks to Calvin Harris for DJing the whole parade - we were a rolling dance party.

"Thanks to all of the incredible people that were singing together and sharing their joy through the rain and supporters from around the world that have shared in this journey.

“I love all of the kind messages you have shared with me.

"Thanks to this amazing club - so many people work so hard to make this accomplishment and celebration possible #20

"We remember this as a day showing the strength of community in so many ways. Special love for all the helpers."

On Sunday evening, after the Reds had ended their successful campaign with a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Anfield, an end-of-season party was held at the Municipal Hotel in the city centre.
