Ian Wright makes exciting Darwin Nunez prediction after dismissing Liverpool 'worry' claim

Ian Wright believes Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez could "explode" next season after his introductory campaign in the Premier League.

Nunez has still managed to score nine goals in the league while assisting three more despite being in and out of the starting line-up.

Wright on whether Nunez, who has scored just once in his last 11 appearances, could turn it around next season.

“Absolutely, especially when you see the chances that he is getting, the chances he is missing.

Next season he will liven himself up, get more intense in respects of his goalscoring, and then he will finish those. I am not worried for him.”

Wright added: “Unbelievable numbers.”
