Liverpool could be in for a busy summer, though Arne Slot has reiterated his stance that he is content with the roster of players that he currently has. Improvements, however, can be made.

Slot

"It's already a big summer because we extended Virgil [van Dijk] and Mo [Salah] and for large parts of the season, I don't think everyone expected that,"

"For us to keep them is a big thing. I've said already that I am happy with the squad we have. We will see what the summer brings, but sometimes it can be good to bring fresh energy."

It would appear logical for Liverpool to look at left-back as one position to upgrade on, with Andy Robertson's level having dropped in recent months.

Number nine would be another obvious place to hope for an improvement.

"That’s a talented team," Michael Owen said about Bournemouth while working for Premier League Productions over the weekend.

Owen continued

"They’ve got some really talented players in the squad.

"As I just referred to before, they might just have a really difficult summer trying to shield a lot of their players away from the pack, really.

"Liverpool might come in for Milos Kerkez. You’ve got Antoine Semenyo, who’s a top player. Arsenal are looking for their center-half as well, maybe, Wrighty?"

"Yeah, Dean Huijsen, he’s really impressive," Ian Wright replied.

Wright continued

"I think Kerkez, that’s probably done, for me. The amount of talk we’ve been doing for so long, that’s probably done, which is a shame (for Bournemouth). He’s a fantastic player."

Kerkez is someone that Liverpool is considering. Bournemouth accepts that the Hungarian is likely to move on this summer, though he doesn't have a release clause like Huijsen.

Valued at around $60 million (£45 million), Kerkez has been one of the most impressive full-backs in the Premier League this season.

And at 21, his best years are still very much ahead of him.

I’ve had eight wonderful years so far and I have a year left," current number one left-back Robertson said recently.

"I am not as young as I once was but I love this club and I have had some great memories here, so let’s see what the future holds."

"I wouldn't write off Robertson," Jamie Redknapp said on Sky Sports' coverage of Liverpool's game with Chelsea this weekend.

"Top player, great professional. Kerkez has been amazing for Bournemouth. He's like a younger version."
