Mohamed Salah has admitted that there have been no in-roads in his ongoing contract situation
The Reds attacker continues to shatter records in front of him as his importance to the squad increases.
Salah scored and assisted in the 2-0 win over Manchester City to send Arne Slot's side 11 points clear at the top
Despite facing the increasing prospect of leaving the club on a free transfer upon the expiry of his contract in the summer, the Egyptian continues to inspire Liverpool towards a 20th English championship.
with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, the 32-year-old has issued a blunt response to the latest contract question.
He shook his head after Steve McManaman quizzed the forward over staying at Anfield, adding: "In a very polite way (no update)."
Salah speaking to TNT Sports, dismissed the pursuit of breaking individual records while his contract situation remains up in the air, he said:
“If I stay in this country, I'll think about it, but for the moment, I'm just thinking about winning the Premier League, then we'll see at the end of the season."
Salah sits top of the goals and assists charts this term, however, he isn't focusing on individual accolades as he looks to score the big prizes with Liverpool.
Salah
I think it's my best season, so far I think it's my best season because I make the other players around me better - that's what I feel,"
"I know their games, all the numbers around all the players, it's going to be higher than other seasons, plus my assists is higher which means I help them a lot.
"If you look in that direction, Cody, Lucho, other players, their season is better than others and I think that's it's my best season because I make players around me better.
"Absolutely (win everything). Let's win the league and the Champions League then we'll see because the Ballon d'Or is sometimes stuff involved there. I just want to win... hopefully."
