Darwin Nunez has no shortage of offers if he chooses to leave Liverpool, that’s according to a journalist who claims he has spoken to him.

The forward has made 38 appearances across all competitions, but less than half of those have been starts.

Nunez did score and assist during Saturday's win over Southampton at Anfield.

But Argentinian journalist Juan Manuel 'El Bambino' Pons - who Nunez follows on Instagram - has claimed that the forward is keen for more game time

"I was talking to Darwin; I'm not going to give away details, but Klopp always put him in, and Slot doesn't,"

"He has no shortage of offers; he wants to play, and he's not getting it."

Pons also claimed:

“I have a close relationship with Darwin. It's not normal for a kid who is worth what he is worth to always respond to you; I'm lucky.

"He has three titles left to play for this year; maybe that will tip the balance, but he wants to have more minutes."

Reds boss Arne Slot said: “I think he was just back to being the normal Darwin, the player he was for seven or eight months.

“I think once or twice - for the games I mentioned - was exceptional and for the other games, he’s so loved by the fans because he’s always given everything since he’s been here. That’s what he’s always done.

“That’s what he did against Paris St Germain and that’s what he did in the last week as well.

“He had one or two games that were not perfect, that also had to do with him missing that chance against Villa. But sometimes these things happen and now he’s back to being the normal Darwin.”
