Gary Lineker disagrees with Alan Shearer over Premier League winner - but doubts his own pick

Gary Lineker is sticking with his Premier League title tip - but admits he has doubts.

Liverpool currently lead the way in the top-flight with just nine games of the season to go

The Reds took the advantage on Sunday after beating Brighton at Anfield, while City and Arsenal played out a goalless draw.

Those results mean that Jurgen Klopp's men are two points clear of the Gunners and three ahead of City

Despite holding that advantage, Liverpool are not Lineker's tip for the title.

Lineker has again backed Arsenal, having tipped them to lift the trophy back in August.

Lineker has admitted that he has a feeling it will in fact be Liverpool who are crowned champions.

Lineker

"Before we talk about Saturday's games, who's going to win the league, are you sticking with City? Or are you going to dump them now?"

Shearer replied:

"Yeah I'm not changing my mind yet, I've not seen anything drastic to change my mind yet. I'm sticking with City."

Richards added:

"We're sticking, we're sticking. We're not twisting, we're sticking with City. I agree with Alan."

Lineker then admitted that while he is tipping Arsenal, he believes it will be Liverpool who will win the title.

Lineker added

"Well, I've stuck throughout with Arsenal, I'm going to stick with them. But I've got a slight feeling all three of us might be wrong. But we shall see."

Shearer

"At the moment it is advantage Liverpool, and Arsenal are not going away, but, with nine games to go, I still see Manchester City as favourites for the Premier League title.

"That feeling is not really based on how City are playing right now, though,"

"They cannot afford to drop points in successive games, so it's another huge night for them.

"One of City's biggest strengths, however, is that they have been here and done it so many times before.

"And, while their rivals might be in better form, City have the experience to know that the draw with Arsenal was not a disaster.

"They were my pick to win the league when it started and I am certainly not going to change my mind now."
