Curtis Jones comments say it all about Arne Slot's impact at Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp

Curtis Jones is clearly enjoying his football under Arne Slot and he isn't the only player who has publicly praised Liverpool's new manager

Jones

"He's amazing. I've said it a lot, it's probably the happiest I've been in terms of a style of play that suits me and the lads that we have in our team.

“It's a clear plan. In the training stuff he's fully involved, he coaches us a lot.

“He's big on the finer details of things. We've got a certain way of playing — he knows it's going to take a little bit of time because it's obviously a big change."

The only thing that Curtis Jones said during pre-season which has not aged well was that it would take time for Liverpool to click under Arne Slot.

Even the most ambitious Liverpool fan would not have predicted the start of the Reds' season would have gone any better than it has.

After six wins, one loss, 18 goals scored and just three conceded, Liverpool finds itself just a point off top spot in the Premier League and having impressively won its opening matches in the Champions League and the EFL Cup.

Against West Ham at Anfield on Wednesday, Jones was handed his first start of the season and impressed, registering a cute assist for Diogo Jota's second goal

It was clear after the match that the 23-year-old's enthusiasm at playing under Slot has not waned a jot.

Jones

“I just want to play,"

“It’s been hard, I’ve had an injury and stuff but now I’m back and playing games with a smile on my face.”

Jones isn't the only Liverpool star playing with a smile on his face - a number of other Reds stars have publicly praised their new manager in recent weeks.

Jones said

"He's a really smart manager – not only about the way he thinks about football but the way he implements his ideas,"

"It's really clear."

Conor Bradley described Slot's approach as "really refreshing",

Alexis Mac Allister said of the manager: "He's doing an amazing job. You can see how much he knows about football. Tactically, he is very good and he tries to be [on top of] every detail."

Given the seismic impact Jurgen Klopp had during his nine years on Merseyside, few would have predicted that Liverpool's transition from the German to Slot would be so smooth
