Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has emerged as a summer target for Liverpool with Newcastle also interested.
That's according to L'Equipe, with both Premier League clubs said to be keeping tabs on the Cameroon international
Mbeumo has hinted he could leave the Bees ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Mbeumo
“I have spent five years at Brentford, at a club that has allowed me to grow and pass a milestone but yes, I would like to play in the biggest competitions, at the best clubs,"
"It is tantalising to see some big clubs interested in me. We will see."
Mbeumo has enjoyed another great season in the Premier League with nine goals and six assists arriving from 25 Premier League appearances
A long-term ankle injury affected his season significantly but since his return back in March, Mbeumo contributed to five goals
Thomas Frank is already dealing with the potential of losing Ivan Toney this summer with the England international regularly suggesting he has ambitions to play elsewhere.
The 24-year-old's contract expires in 2026 which certainly suggests Brentford may be keen to sell this summer to avoid losing him in a cut-price deal next summer
An exact asking price is unclear, however Brentford are sure to make a considerable profit with his signing costing just €6million
