Arne Slot has indicated he will not look to raid Feyenoord for players this summer as he prepares to begin shaping the Liverpool squad.
Slot will succeed the departing Jurgen Klopp as Reds manager with official confirmation of his appointment expected later this month
Both will take charge for the final time at their current clubs on Sunday, with Feyenoord entertaining Excelsior in the Eredivisie while Liverpool are at home to Wolves
Slot has reached the Europa Conference League final, lifted the domestic championship last term and this season won the Dutch Cup with Feyenoord
A number of the 45-year-old's current Feyenoord players are already being linked with a move to Liverpool
Slot, though, has told Feyenoord they would be best served by ensuring they retain the core of their squad - inferring he will not be inclined to push to sign many of their players once he moves to Anfield.
Slot
“Our belief was and is to make the entire team better,"
"And these boys have all been given time and attention to improve.
"Feyenoord should mainly ensure that as few players leave as possible. Then many players will be able to do this with their eyes closed for the next six months.”
