Alisson explains Liverpool's new solidity and singles out three Reds players for praise

Alisson Becker has hailed new boss Arne Slot for his straightforward approach and clear instructions -

Liverpool’s perfect start to the Premier League season underlined by how attacking players are putting in the hard defensive yards.

The Reds are yet to concede a goal three games into the season

amid pre-season fears of a difficult transition to life after Jurgen Klopp, Alisson has piled the praise on Slot for the clarity of his instructions.

Alisson

"His [Slot's] ideas are not too complicated. He's a really smart manager – not only about the way he thinks about football but the way he implements his ideas, it's really clear,”

“The message is really clear, so for us players it's not too complicated and I think that's what we are showing on the pitch.

“Now we get confidence from doing the things that he asks us to do.”

"But he demands a lot of hard work from us and from our side we have to keep going with these kind of things.

“But the answer the players are giving on the pitch is unbelievable, the hard work is so good – we have to highlight that.

"Everybody with the same goal of winning the game, keeping the clean sheet and doing whatever is necessary to do on the pitch – to defend, to attack, to score goals, create chances.

“So that's why I think we are doing so well at the beginning of the season."

The hard work has been underlined by Mo Salah and Luis Diaz’s workrate, according to Alisson.

While Salah faced another summer of mild questioning around his future as he enters the final year of his contract

Alisson continued

“He [Salah] is a special player but he makes it look normal,"

"But when you look to his numbers, it's unbelievable.

"The way Lucho is playing as well – his contribution to the team, his goalscoring, his movements, the things he can do when he has the ball.

"But what I want to highlight is the hard work of these guys defensive-wise.

“They are running a lot, they are working so hard for the team when they don't have the ball – I think this is what is making us win these games at the beginning of the season.

"So we have to keep those things ongoing – not only Mo and Lucho but the other boys as well, Diogo [Jota], the midfielders, the line of four, everybody.

“We are working so hard and this is what should be the highlight from our side."
