Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool
He’s scored 25 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions, including four in the Champions League, but did not score against Liverpool.
That form has seen Osimhen linked with a move to the Premier League. Manchester United are the club who have been the most frequently credited with an interest in the striker.
Reports claimed that Liverpool had joined the race to sign Osimhen.
Osimhen has even spoken publicly about his desire to eventually play in the Premier League.
Osimhen said: "I think playing in one of the top five leagues in the world (Serie A) is an amazing feeling for me.
“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I'm in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A.
"I'm working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League someday but, like I said, it's a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well."
With Liverpool likely to prioritise signing midfielders this summer, other clubs may look to sign Osimhen instead. But the Reds would be wise to have the Napoli striker in their thoughts if the possibility of signing a new forward becomes a possibility.
