Klopp has supported the decision of the Football Association to not take further action against Premier League official Constantine Hatzidakis for his altercation with Andy Robertson.
A statement released by the PGMOL after the full-time whistle confirmed the match official would not be assigned any fixtures while an investigation into the incident took place, with many expecting a punishment to follow.
Klopp:
I think it has been dealt with really well in the end. I wasn't aware of it during the game, only after the game. I didn't want to see the pictures before the press conference because it makes life a little bit easier if you don't know what is happening. I spoke to Robbo and all the other guys, not the assistant, and I think it was dealt with really well and now we go again."
An apology has been issued to Robertson by Hatzidakis, via a PGMOL statement, which read: "I fully assisted The FA with their investigation and have discussed the matter directly with Andy Robertson during an open and positive conversation," he said. "It was certainly not my intention to make any contact with Andy as I pulled my arm away from him and for that I have apologised. I look forward to returning to officiating matches.”
