The Quansah family are ready to take over Goodison Park on Tuesday night when England Under-21s host Northern Ireland.

It has been a breakthrough season so far for Jarell Quansah, with the Liverpool starlet impressing in his nine appearances so far

Quansah is now part of a young Lions squad that will be looking to defend the Under-21s European Championships title they won this summer.

Handed his maiden call-up in October, Quansah was handed his Under-21s debut as a substitute at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground in England’s 9-1 victory over Serbia last month.

Now Carsley’s men are set to take to the field a lot closer to home at Everton’s Goodison Park when they take on Northern Ireland in their latest qualifier on Tuesday.

Quansah admits it will be a surreal experience running out as a home player at the ground of Liverpool’s bitter local-rivals

Quansah

“Obviously we’re big rivals of Everton but I’m sure the fans of Liverpool and any England fans will turn out,”

"Goodison is a very historic ground so playing there is going to be great.

“I don’t know how many tickets I need to get for that one yet! But it’s definitely one for my family to turn up to because it’s so close.”

Quansah family’s presence will ensure the 20-year-old feels at home at Goodison, he has one Liverpool team-mate to thank for helping him settle at this level.

Elliott captained the young Lions away at Ukraine last month, and was on the scoresheet over Serbia on Saturday, taking his tally for the young Lions to three goals and two assists from his last three appearances

Quansah reveals that Elliott has played a big part in helping him find his feet in Carsley’s squad.

“Yeah, (he’s helped). That’s another thing,”

"Coming here, I’m still a new player, I didn’t know most of the players here on a personal level.

“Having him off the pitch is always good. Someone I can speak to, someone who, if I need to take my mind off football, I can speak to him about stuff. He’s been able to integrate me into the team as well.

“Having Harvey, who is a talkative kid anyway and very lively, so it’s always good having him about.”
