Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson Henderson is fundamentally a runner who covers lots of ground, and his periods of good form -- whether as an advanced midfielder, a box-to-box midfielder or a defensive midfielder in a pressing side -- have enabled him to showcase his energy. Asked to play a different unnatural role Henderson has become the fall guy, but overall Liverpool's defensive problems in open play stem from the lack of cohesion, with Klopp's side no longer pressing cohesively, but not yet getting back into a solid unit behind the ball either. Caught between two stools, Henderson has been unfairly cast as Liverpool's problem, when realistically he's merely a symbol of their issues. Henderson plays as a box-to-box midfielder and is widely regarded as a player who works hard and brings energy to the team. Described as an "athletic and hardworking midfielder," Henderson has developed his game during his time at Liverpool into a more creative player. Furthermore, he constantly presses high up the field whenever the opposition is in possession. His Natural game is to try and win the ball however, sometimes a defensive midfielder needs to read the game and defend the space, allowing his side time to fall back into defensive position. Klopp has admitted that he originally intended to buy a new DM however, swayed by Henderson’s early performances he changed his mind. When Liverpool challenged for the title many site Henderson’s suspension against Chelsea as the reason they failed. Yet now many class Henderson as the Villain however is he more the fall guy?
